Oishi Pizza!

Korokke. It was good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Teriyaki Delight! Loved the fact that the crust was not as dough-y
and thick like some pizzas we get from other pizza outlets here.
Pizza with chili flakes and bonito flakes. It made a difference!
Total bill came up to about $16.90. It cost $11.90 for a 10" pizza and two drinks, and we paid about $5 for the Korokke. Visit the website!

La Petite Cuisine

Mushroom Soup that was tasty, but not to my liking.
The Ravioli of Prawns Foie Gras in Light Lemon Crème ($14.00)
A Choucroute (Sauerkraut) dish we had.
It came with sausages, pork, ham and one or two other meats.
Pretty yum, except for the fact that it was a rather salty dish.
I tried the Confit de Canard with Gratin the last time. It was yum. :)

Cedele

I think Cedele serves pretty good sandwiches. Alas, when I went to the outlet at Vivocity, I was informed that they had closed down their ice cream outlet. I would have dearly loved to try the Sea Salt and Caramel flavour!

Chicken Tarragon Soup
Grilled Portobello Mushroom!
Juicy!

Fried Rice

I bought a packet of XO Chinese Sausages the other day after reading about Chinese Sausages in the paper and thought that I would replicate the dish (Chinese Sausage placed on a bowl of steaming, fluffy white rice - nyom, nyom, nyom!). However, since I had on hand a packet of frozen vegetables (left over from my Ramen fix the other night), I decided to throw in some fried egg and fishcake, oyster sauce, dark soya sauce, a dash of paprika, and created the following:
Did you know? The casseroles that we eat today probably originated from China! According to this page, "it’s believed that it was invented sometime during the Sui dynasty (589 – 618 AD), in the city of Yangzhou in eastern Jiangsu province."

Oh well. Dad gave it a thumbs up. I added chili flakes to mine and suffered from a bit of chili burn on my fingers thereafter. (Apparently, you can remove the burn using lemon juice. I didn't have any, so I eased the pain using a salt solution and cold water.)

Belated Birthday Cake

Work's been piling and my posts are all going to be terribly backdated, sorry!

My friends from Uni (M, C, K and K's hubby, J) celebrated my birthday after I got back from Malacca a few weeks back. This was probably a month after my actual birthday. I whipped up salad, chicken curry and pasta, and we washed it down with a lovely, creamy durian-flavoured cake that M got from Bugis. J didn't have any, because he prefers to stay far away from the fruit. In fact, he stayed in the room while we continued with our merriment in the living room.
