Fried Rice

I bought a packet of XO Chinese Sausages the other day after reading about Chinese Sausages in the paper and thought that I would replicate the dish (Chinese Sausage placed on a bowl of steaming, fluffy white rice - nyom, nyom, nyom!). However, since I had on hand a packet of frozen vegetables (left over from my Ramen fix the other night), I decided to throw in some fried egg and fishcake, oyster sauce, dark soya sauce, a dash of paprika, and created the following:
Did you know? The casseroles that we eat today probably originated from China! According to this page, "it’s believed that it was invented sometime during the Sui dynasty (589 – 618 AD), in the city of Yangzhou in eastern Jiangsu province."

Oh well. Dad gave it a thumbs up. I added chili flakes to mine and suffered from a bit of chili burn on my fingers thereafter. (Apparently, you can remove the burn using lemon juice. I didn't have any, so I eased the pain using a salt solution and cold water.)
